Record/Profile Update Procedure For Registered/Professional Engineers



A  Registered/ Professional Engineer may require to update his/her record with PEC in case of:

change of address or other correspondence info

change of name

change of employment status

obtaining further postgraduate qualifications

change of any other information


Change of address or other correspondence information:

A Request PEC Form-5A (available online & from PEC offices) has to be filled in , duly signed & a copy of NIC has to be attached for this purpose . The form can then be submitted in one of the PEC offices in person or by post.

Change of name:

A Request PEC Form-5A (available online & from PEC offices), duly signed has to be submitted / posted to PEC HQ along with copy of NIC (with new name) and a processing fee of Rs. 100 in the form of bank draft / challan in favour of PEC.
NOTE: A female member who applies for the change of her name by reason of her marriage is exempted from payment of such fee.

Change of Employment Status:

A Request PEC Form-5A  (available online & from PEC offices), duly signed has to be submitted / posted to PEC HQ. Option E has to be marked for this purpose & the change has to be indicated along side.

Reporting Further Engineering Qualification Obtained:

PEC highly recommends the report by a registered engineer when he/she obtains postgraduate or any further Engineering Qualification such as MS, PhD etc. In order to update one's record for such purpose, PEC Form-5A (available online & from PEC offices) has to be submitted along with the relevant documents.

Change of any other information:

For change in some other information not listed above , the same form PEC Form-5A  (available online & from PEC offices) has to be submitted , marking Option 'E' on the form & indicating the changed information.
