Pakistan Engineering Council Approves Balochistan Action Plan 2025

Following the visit of Chairman PEC, Engr Waseem Nazir, to Balochistan in January 2025, the Pakistan Engineering Council has officially approved the Balochistan Action Plan 2025 — a forward-looking initiative aimed at economic uplift, engineering capacity building, and inclusive development across the province.
🔧 Key Strategic Initiatives Include:
✅ Establishment of an Engineering Support Center in Quetta
✅ Revitalization of Technical Education & Vocational Training
✅ Implementation of the Technical Allowance for Engineers
✅ Filling of vacant engineering posts in government departments
✅ Career counseling & internship programs through academia-industry collaboration
✅ Faculty development, research linkages & entrepreneurship promotion
✅ Strengthening PEC’s regional offices and increasing representation of Balochistan engineers at the national level
✅ Rigorous monitoring and quality assurance of engineering projects
PEC is dedicated to working closely with federal and provincial stakeholders to ensure these actions are aligned with national engineering standards and support long-term, sustainable development in Balochistan.
