GET Placement Program First Batch One-Month Skill Development Program Started

One-Month Skill Development for First Batch (Phase-I: Graduates of 2024) is being started from 1st July, 2026 till 31st July, 2026 after completion of 05 months field training with Industrial Partner. The training is being conducted at eight Training Centers of major cities including Islamabad, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Karachi, Sukkur and Quetta. In one month Skill development plan, Training will be five days in a week from Monday to Friday for 518 Trainees across Pakistan.  

 

The one-month Skill Development Module is aimed at further enhancing the technical, professional and employability skills of the trainees. The module will be focused on bridging identified skill gaps through structured training sessions, practical learning and standardized content delivery to ensure uniform capacity building and improved industry readiness of participants.

GET Placement Program Launched with Deployment of 2300 Young Engineers

The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has launched Phase-II of its Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Program, placing 1,700 new graduates (2025 batch) across 60 national organizations as of April 1, 2026, following 600 placements in Phase-I started from January 1, 2026. This fully funded initiative provides a PKR 50,000 monthly stipend for six months of training to bridge the academia-industry gap.

Graduates have been deployed across diverse public sector entities, including provincial Planning and Development departments (KP, AJK, and Balochistan), NESPAK, and Punjab’s Local Government and C&W departments. Placements also span major organizations like the Pakistan Airports Authority, SNGPL, PAC Kamra, HMC, POF, HIT, FWO, OGDCL and various power distribution companies, Textile Mills and other major public/ private sector organizations.

PEC Chairman Engr. Waseem Nazir congratulated the trainees, noting that this structured field exposure is vital for professional growth and national development. He highlighted that a transparent digital balloting system was used to ensure merit-based selection. In response, the young engineers thanked the Chairman as well as PEC Governing Body for the opportunity to build the practical skills and confidence necessary for their future careers.
